Caesars New Orleans has emerged from a staggering $435 million renovation. It promises a world-class luxury experience in the heart of the city. As a traveler, I am always on the lookout for the next great stay. I was eager to see if the reality lived up to the hype. I booked a weekend (August 2025) in their newly built tower to get the full, modern experience.
This AAA Four Diamond Award-winning hotel boasts two towers. It has 790 rooms and 12 restaurants. The location places you just blocks from the French Quarter. Here’s my honest and detailed Caesars New Orleans review:
The Room: Premium King Balcony (Room 447)

Let’s start with the highlight: the room. I stayed in a Premium King Balcony Room in the new tower, and it was spectacular.
- Impeccably Clean and Spacious: The first thing you notice is how spacious and modern everything feels. The $435 million renovation is obvious here. The room was spacious, with a comfortable layout that never felt cramped.
- Large Bathroom: The bathroom was a real win – plenty of space, beautiful finishes, and excellent lighting. It felt luxurious and functional.
- The Balcony: The balcony itself was a great size, perfect for two people to sit and enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of champagne. The one caveat? The view from room 447 wasn’t much to look at. Don’t book this room type for a stunning vista; book it for the lovely private outdoor space.

Verdict: 5/5. The room itself is a home run. It is clean, modern, and spacious. This is exactly what you want from a luxury hotel stay.
The Dining Experience: Highs and Lows
This is where my experience became a tale of two cities. Caesars offers a huge range of options, form fine dining to quick food court bites.
The Letdown: Emeril’s Brasserie
I was most excited to try Emeril’s Brasserie, Emeril Lagasse’s first French-inspired concept. I made a reservation a week in advance for a 10:30 AM Saturday opening. The interior is beautifully decorated, setting high expectations.

I ordered the Lobster Pot Pie ($40+). Unfortunately, it was a total failure. The puff pastry, while looking perfect, simply slid off the bowl – it wasn’t integrated into the dish at all. Underneath, i found a bowl of finely minced, mushy ingredients with barely any discernible lobster meat. For over $40, I expected a show-stopping dish. Honestly, a frozen grocery store pot pie would have been more satisfying. A massive disappointment for a celebrity chef restaurant. In all fairness though, the puff pasty was baked perfectly and had a great texture and flavor.
The Hidden Gems: Food Court Triumphs
The real dining victories were found in the more casual, affordable spots.
- 2Geaux Pho Bar: Terrific. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue-a spicy, aromatic noodle soup packed with beef shank, meatballs, and a powerful lemongrass-chili broth. The portion was generous, the flavor was authentic and had a great kick, and for only $13.99, it was an incredible value.
- Nina’s Creole Cottage: Also terrific. The lightly fried and perfectly seasoned okra and the beautifully battered chicken wings were absolute perfection. This is a must-try for fantastic Creole flavors. View Nina’s Creole Cottage menu here.
- PizzaCake by Buddy V: For a late-night bite, the New York-style pizza hit the spot. The line was long around 11 PM, but it moved quickly. Plenty of options and reasonably priced for a quick, satisfying slice. (I skipped the pre-packaged cake slices-with so many fresh dessert options in NOLA, why would you?)
